As the schools break-up for the summer holidays and parents across the country are faced with the annual headache of how to entertain the kids until they return, the Remuneration Committee members of the FTSE100 companies that held AGMs last week will be enjoying the start of summer having received glowing results from shareholders.

In what was a relatively quiet week (with no new FTSE100 DRRs being published), five FTSE100 companies held their AGMs. All received impressive results, which were as follows:

  • Babcock International Group – 99.7% for the implementation report and 98.9% for the policy report
  • Johnson Matthey – 99.1% for the implementation report and 97.6% for the policy report
  • Royal Mail – 99.7% for the implementation report and 96.5% for the policy report
  • SAB Miller – 95.4% for the implementation report and 92.3% for the policy report
  • United Utilities – 99.4% for the implementation report and 98.5% for the policy report

This week, there are just two FTSE100 companies’ AGMs, being National Grid on Monday 28th and Vodafone on Tuesday 29th July. Those meetings conclude the AGMs of the 31 March year-end companies, and indeed leave us without any published DRRs that are awaiting shareholder votes. Expect the sole FTSE100 April year-end DRR to be published soon (being Sports Direct, which has featured on this site a couple of times lately already (see our most recent blog post)), with the focus then shifting to June year-end companies.

As always, our FTSE100 single source document will be updated to show all the results, and will also contain links to DRRs as they are published.
